Update

Hello All! Thank you everyone who was able to come out to Praise Night last night! It was a great night and was a lot of fun. We had some great testimonies from Michael and Paige. Our new youth director Brad spoke. He is going to be great! His wife sang Amazing Grace with us and what a privilege it was! We have pictures up on our band Flickr page. Praise Night

Greetings! It has been quite a while since I have posted. Myself and the rest of The Reflection have found ourselves quite busy over the past few weeks. We have begun to practice 5 hours on Saturdays instead of 2 in our efforts to get ready for the upcoming Praise Night on May 3rd. Not to far behind that is May 24th, the day we are scheduled to play in the main service at both 8:30 and 11 Am. We definitely have our hands full and we look forward to seeing many of you there!

Praise Night

The tentative date for the first ever Praise Night is May 2nd. We will keep you posted!

Saturday March 28

Practiced from 3-8 today. A little longer than normal but it was a blast! Broke up into our instruments to work on Stars. After a little while of that, we took a break and fixed up some delicious "Power Mac"! Broccoli, Macaroni, Ham, and Bacon. An "epic" meal if that. from 6:15-8 we worked on the songs for tomorrow. Very productive practice!

Practice, March 21st

We practiced a little different on Saturday. Went to Chubby's before practice. Saw part of the GMM crew there. After that, we went back to the church and practiced from 7-9. We spent most of the time talking about our recent frustrations and trying to work out our problems. It felt really good to discuss it. The middle schoolers follow almost exactly what the high schoolers do. We think if we can get most of the high schoolers singing, the middle schoolers will join as well. After the great discussion, we worked on Stars by Switchfoot for the last 30 or so minutes. We also brought up an idea of having a Praise Night at Blacknall. Not sure on the date of that yet. Stay tuned. 

BYG Time March 15

We played last night for BYG Time, overall felt it went pretty well. We were kind of frustrated with the lack of participation from the audience. Worship is a time where we come together to worship God. I personally feel that the audience, at least some of them, are lost and that they think worship is not "cool". Please pray that God would reach out to them and change them.

Sunday Night BYG Time

We are not playing tonight, it is small group night. We will be playing next Sunday night.

Practice, Saturday March 7

We practiced again yesterday from 3-5. Spent most of the time working on Music Theory and then broke up and worked with our instruments. We were able to come up with a band name! The Reflection. Logos to come shortly. 

Search Committee

Let's keep the Search Committee in our prayers as they continue to search for a youth director. Pray for a wise decision and patience.

Service

We will be playing in the big service on May 24th at both the 8:30 and 11:00 AM services.

GMM Sunday

Went to Grace Missions Ministry to listen to their praise band play. They really rocked out. Pastor Moon preached a great sermon. After the service we talked to the band members. We had a special privelage of having them come and help us Sunday night. Wish our keyboardist could've made it!

Saturday Practice

Had a very successful practice at Church on Saturday. Things went together well. Grabbed a delicious bite to eat at Chubby's on 9th Street afterwards. It's become a favorite among the group.
